We're talking about the real Eagle...
That Photo of the Eagle is a Federal Taken Photo from Alaska and public domain.

Ruben, I blew my last attempt at a post into cyberspace so after several hours I'm trying again.
It's pretty darn hard to get a picture like that. We have eagles(bald) up the river from you. My son scouts them out but they're wary as heck. I'd just like to show a few of his shots. He has only a ordinary camera with some zoom and the motion stabilizer. The spotted ones are imature. Takes about 5 yrs to get to adulthood so it looks like they are breeding well. Son says they return each year and some he thinks stay here the year round?? Remember these are local big birds.

They've turned Iona Island near Stony Point into a Bird reserve but frankly I've seen them, 4 or 5 at a time, right over the George Washington Bridge.

They are also in Deleware County near the Deleware Head waters.

NY is very ecologically sound, and has always been out in front in conservation.

Just a little trivia, The Indians of the west got the eagle and the kite ( 12 foot or better wing span ) mixed up. way up high in the sky the kite looked like a very majestic and verry large eagle. that's why most of there jewelry had an eagle somewhere on it. The eagles are making a strong comeback in this state there pretty cool to watch fishing.

They actually mate in the sky, they look like they are fighting . they stay belly to belly untill gust before they hit the ground.
