Hello! I am doing some provenance research and am finding some coins with Ex. Biaggi collection with respective lot numbers. From my understanding, and especially this CoinsWeekely article incl. references, the Roman gold coins exists in a privately issued catalog compiled by Silvia Hurter. Also hear this exists in a book - and guess that is were the respective lot-numbers finds its reference? I am very interested to hear from anyone with an issue of this catalogue or book so I can confirm some specific lot-numbers. Looking forward to hear from you! Best, Lars
I have now also seen that this record has sold for several thousand dollars, so guess its not so readily available.... For example: https://www.icollector.com/The-Biaggi-Collection-of-Roman-Gold-Coins_i23843786 If someone by any chance has a copy, I would still be very happy to get a confirmation of a certain lot-nr
Lot 606 - a Hadrian aureus with FIDES PUBLICA on the reverse. Would love to see an image of the depicted coin and accompanying text if any. Thanks!
Thats wonderful. Thanks a lot for your help! This particular coin is also Ex. Santamaria from the Magnaguti Collection lot 442 in Nummis Historia Part III (1950). You don’t happen to have this reference as well? It’s part 3 of a 12 book series of the Alessandro Magnaguti collection.
Hi again, @AncientJoe! Would you be so helpful and look up another two other coins for me in Biaggi? Lot 207 and 563? Thanks a lot for your help!
