    Vinegar and salt mix.
It will get rid of that gunk first, then pull it before it removes the petina.
And it should only take a matter minutes.

About what I was thinking. I suspect this forum has a contest section for contests for some reason. Wonder what that is?
POLL? what poll? Is this a poll? I'm lost.
PS. I don't want that thing whatever it used to be.

I've figured out the intent of thie entire subject. It was entered by members of other forums to drive us all away from this one with so much STUFF about nothing.

I vote vinegar and slat mix too. It's copper so it should work better then the eraser trick.

    Ratio

Currently drowning it in olive oil.
Perhaps the vinegar and salt will remove the oil drowning it is currently undergoing.

What is the recommended ration of Salt to Vinegar I should try?

    Out of the EVOO

Out of the EVOO. And now it is fer sure an ugly 1916 S. The only progress I can confirm is what it is.......or was......

I'm holding off on the "polish" step at this point of distruction.

    And other ideas?
