German Mark cash can be redeemed without any limit; the same applies to most Austrian Schilling cash.</p><p><br /></p><p>Iceland and Switzerland are not in the European Union and have their own currencies. As for the Swiss Franc, some older coins cannot be exchanged any more but most are OK to use. Banks tend to refuse coins if you want to exchange cash, and the pre-euro cash you would have to send to the national central bank, ie.
