Errors on the 1939 wheat back penny?

Discussion in 'Coin Chat' started by wallace wisdom, May 4, 2016.

  1. What errors are on the 1939 wheat back penny, cause I have one and it looks like there is an extra stalk of wheat on the right side?

Pictures are absolutely necessary please. I have never seen an extra wheat stalk but have seen die cracks that appear as an extra line on a stalk.

Would that be the right side from your vantage point or from the coin's vantage point? Because from the coin's vantage point the right side is really the left side from your vantage point and conversely from the coin's vantage point the left side is really the right side from your vantage point.

I am not sure, but I think I am seeing a lamination over the right wheat. If I am right, interesting, but not worth much.

It's glue, not a mint error.

Yes, still as funny as when it came out originally. As for the extra wheat stalk, "I see nooothing!" :)
