I dropped out of collecting for about 5 years and now catching up. I had never really looked at clad coins or pennys after 58 and silver after 64. Now, as I look around there are so many error coins for sale and most are these newer coins. Has quality control gone down that bad? Is production so high that they can not check enough? Or are people just working harder to find something interesting in new coins? I have not been a fan of errors in the past but, a few of the photo's have caught my eye. I'm curious, are there really a lot more errors now? Thanks
i think that is the more likely reason. Most moderns are so COMMON (Except in the absolute highest grade) that the only thing that can generate any interest in them is to search them for errors or varieties that can be promoted.
