10167.jpeg Has anyone ever seen this on a prez dollar coin before? It appears to have an extra spike on the crown? It's also uncirculated.

Forget the Paredolia or stain. Looks like some type of feeder finger going on. Thanks for the much better/great picture!

Remember, it's not they're fault. These guys have been you so long and have seen so much junk from Newbie's like you and me, they think everything is a Paredolia or stain without looking close at it anymore.

Nice. I've never seen feeder fingers taper to a point like that. They usually run more uniform in width.

It's just weird to me how it's a perfect shape just like the other spikes.

It sure is except it's longer. Looks like a stain. If you can, save it.

Could this be from a counter clashed die ? I have never heard of a counter clash on a modern dollar coin die but about anything is possible . It is real easy to tell from the photo that the die that struck this coin has been heavily abraided probably from trying to remove a die clash. Look at Miss Liberty's crown it is unattached from her head and below this her hair is unattached then some design is missing around her eye. I would love to see full photos of the obv. and rev. of this coin. I have some of these dollar coins with this missing design plus Miss Liberty's head is completely unattached. The OP's coin is probably like this also.
