More of an anomaly - the copper
plating has 'shifted' from the striking
pressure of the coin (about 65 tons)

This is a fairly common effect, easily
found in change or rolls, and carries
no error premium, as far as I know.

(that 'grey' area to the right of the D
mintmark, for example, is the zinc
core exposed by the copper plating
shifting when the coin was struck.

This is common on Zinc Cents.
