Error? Worth anything?

    What makes you think it's an error?
    The circle?
    That's damage cause by a counting or rolling machine.

    These were my grandfathers and im trying to figure out why he kept the one he did.what about this one?

    Perhaps he couldn't find his glasses the day he put those away.

    You know, they actually do not have to be errors. Really. We collect non-error coins as well, believe it or not. And I sack away most of the Canadian coins I get in my change, so I'd surmise that's not really that odd that a typical collection would have some, too.
