i have this wheat penny i found that i think has an error, could i get some opinions? this is from my first box of pennies and I'm new to coin roll hunting. thanks
Rusty - welcome to the hobby!! Lots to learn and enjoy!! It could be that the O in ONE is worn from circulation or could be affected by grease used in the equipment/press (it fills the die and affects the way the metal flows during the coining process). Better pictures (on a flat background, such as a solid white sheet of paper for darker coins or darker backing for red/silver coins). Brown coins on a woodgrain surface makes for a more difficult assessment. Enjoy the site and ask your questions. Lots of knowledgeable folks here willing to help.
Welcome to CT. If you could crop the image, use full image instead of thumbnail, etc., it will help the good folks here give you better opinions. It does look like a "greaser." Steve
Welcome to CT. You can drop the poll as your choices make absolutely no sense to me. As already stated, well focused, correctly orientated, cropped photos of full obverse and reverse, with close ups of any areas you have questions about will get you much more definitive answers.
