And for the deeper and clearer lettering you need to letter the edges at a slower speed which means either more machines, space, employees, and costs, or lower mintages.

no more error coins from the mint please. too many variety came out. the mint proof to be intentionally.

 

it looks like there is an error coin for the 2009 sacagawea dollar. again it is a plain edge. no wonder the sac dollar roll is sold out.
