Error Penny?

    I found this penny in an old box I had in my basement it appears to have lines through it and no mint. Anyone have any info on these?

    Welcome to CT. Your coin looks to just be stained from something. Copper does that. Nothing special.

    No mint means it was minted at the Philadelphia Mint.

    Could be a Improperly Mixed Alloy planchet.
    Please show the Reverse side also.
