Hey Mike diamond and all you error guru's,,,,,,help me out on this state quarter. There are several similiar ones out there but none are exactly identicle I believe. These lines are just a little bit out of place on each coin. Each line is just as prominent on obverse and reverse and is the mirror image as if you squeezed the quarter with needle nose pliers and marks came out on both sides. But,,,of course in this case,,there was some serious tonage put on these coins. Any harder of a strike and this would have been cut right through. Now I know that post mint damage would make the metal very shinny at the point of the damage as if scrapeing metal with your knife does,,,,,but,, these lines when magnified has the exact same luster down inside the error as does the fields or devices. I'm sure it came from the mint but these coins came out of some orange and white bu rolls from the bank. Anyone recognize what these marks could have been caused by?? Also is it error or damage??? Also Idea's to value???? Also does NGC grade this type of thing or are we looking at a body bag??? Lots of questions but these are awesome higher grade coins that I just have to research. Please,,,,any and all input would be greatly appreciated. Haven't posted in awhile so if these photo's do not upload just check back later and I will shrink and try again but if viewable,,,,check 'em out. bigd
