Error Opinion?

    Recent eBay purchase. I don't actively collect errors, but I'm fond of nickles and this particular series. What say you? 53111.jpg 53113.jpg

    Looks like normal circulation wear.
    A little bit of struck through grease on letters of reverse side.. Worn die strike. Nothing major.

    Even as a grease strike though, it has very little added value, IMO. Hope you didn't pay much for it.

    snooping again. $2.00 and .75 cents shipping, meh, you could have done a lot worse really.

    the pictures on the listing are better than the ones here to show what's going on. it is what he listed it as, a struck through grease on the reverse.

    I've got plenty like those. Just go coin roll hunting. Go through a box, and you'll probably find a couple.

    I went through 3 boxes of quarters and never saw one.

    @John Burgess yes there were some pix that showed it better, I just chose to use my own. I accepted his description, but simply posted here to get other opinions. A process of learning.
