Error dime? Not sure what this is or what could have happened to it.

    1995 dime Denver mint. Looks like some one pit it in a press however there are areas on the reverse that do not add up with that theory. The top of the word dime is flattend and the bottom of the acorn branch and the words usunum are smooshed. Also the bottom of the torch is flattend some. Any help is greatly appreciated.

    A post here back a while ago featured a similar 1985 dime, where @mikediamond mentioned:

    "It's not damaged. Most 1985-D dimes look like this. It's caused by a combination of excessive obverse die convexity (a design flaw) and inadequate upset."

    I believe that is what caused what you're seeing on your coin.
