Error dime no date

    I have this error coin - Off Center . I would like to get a percentage for my records and would also like to get a Value for it .

    Just Wanted to add.. If it were a Silver Dime it would be worth a lot more. $40.00 - $50.00

    Yea its a nice one, i'd love to own some off center coinage, did you find it in circulation or purchase it?

    You can get a good estimate of the %off center using the following method.

    Look up or measure the standard diameter of the coin. For a dime it's 17.91 mm.

    Measure the distance along the diameter from the rim to the edge of the edge of the design (over the unstruck part). Don't measure the length of the struck portion since it can be distorted

    Plug them into the following formula

    1 - [(17.91- Measured distance)/17.91]

    Your measurement should be in millimeters for this formula

    Multiply by 100 to get the percentage and round to the nearest 5% (off centers are usually reported to the nearest 5% or 10%)

    If you don't subtract from 1, you'll calculate the % ON center
