    You have Die Breaks not an extra leaf.

    Die Chips known as IDB's.. Interior Die Breaks
    Not Cuds.. Cuds involve the Rim and goes into the field

    Agree die chips. When I find more than 2 chips on dimes they go to my nephew in NC. He just loves em.

    2005 CA SQ's have lots of die breaks in the letters and some of the numbers, both obverse and reverse.

    This 2005-D has a nice die break on the brim of John Muir's hat.
