Rarest Found: 170 Jovinus - dlhill132 194 Annia Faustina - provincial - dlhill132 Well, that's just totally amazing. Never believed it possible we would find those super rare emperors here. Don't worry, dlhill132. For one, provincials are used as a substitute slot fillers as I have done and some others here. I have Tranquilina and Maximus Caesar provincials. More than likely I will get a few more provincials. If no one is interested in your coins, you've come to the right place. We are definitely interested for sure. Thanks for posting those.
=> 100%, my new coin-friend .... man, your stuff is simply awesome!! (it's fantastic having such coin-horse-power join our lil' group!!)
Yeah, I don't understand. Every coin I see here I find fascinating. Well, most anyway. But just let me show one of my family members or an acquaintance one of my new purchase, and I get a blank stare. Even my wife. I showed her my latest yesterday. When I asked if she would like to see it, her response was "do I have to?"
I get exactly the same reactions...They sometimes glance at one for a moment and then it's back to discussing what happened on one of those daytime talk shows...It always astonishes me...
Steve, I'm not sure how many rulers I have, I never counted. But I still have a few more rulers, but these are provincials. Thanks everyone for your kind words on my collection. I look forward to seeing everyones coins as this is a big plus for my day. This has been a pretty lonely hobby for the last 30 or more years. Its nice to find other collectors to talk to about ancient coins and pics of them. Doug Hill
Feel lonely no more. Glad to see you're enjoying posting those coins. By all means, post em. Feel free to post those provincials as well. They are being used as substitutes. Or if you feel more comfortable making a new thread for them, that's good too.
I think you've hit on the reason most of us are here. It's nice to know someone else is looking at my coins wondering about it's history.
"Ohhh" (in that fake fascinated-sounding voice, when showing them a coin) "Why don't you sell your coins to make more money?" (cringe) My reactions from my parents... (at least my little brother collects coins too)
Come on VK, you know you can fill a couple more of those slots for me. Very much appreciate the last time you filled some slots.
