I'm a little surprised that no one has shown a coin yet which has become more attractive due to lucky accidents of wear, corrosion, aging and toning over the centuries.

Rather than appearing to be a "slick", this $1 pick-box Hadrian is as attractive as a carved cameo.
This photo "almost" does it justice, it looks even nicer in person.

It's probably more toned than environmentally damaged. But wow.

Probably stuck in a car cup holder for a while. The sweat of drinks tends to tone and corrode zlincolns.

It has luster that has to be seen in person to believe!

I can't say with any certainty which is obverse and which is reverse. But it allows me to say how more 90s and 20s end up like this than any other years.

Cases in point. A 1992, 2008 and 2011 already past the point of trying to save them.

I've come across a few other road rashed pennies but didn't think about posting them. I'll try to do better.

Yes feel free to do so, I'm sure I'd like to see them. I think the dime above shows signs of chemical treated.o_O:blackalien:

Here is a 1999D that has had a rough life.
2017-04-28 12.09.21.jpg But the reverse was treated MUCH worse. 2017-04-28 12.11.18.jpg

19(I figure 92 as it weighs zinc) that has had a rough life.

I don't generally keep coins like that 81 or the road warriors I take pictures of. But wildly toned I'm all over!
