I remember reading a thread about kencor, is he a reputable seller? http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com/viewitem?itemId=390322219623 I found some prospectors, some 70's-80's A-mark rounds & some us strategic stockpile & an American argent mint round looking through this hoard I just took on consignment. I was just wondering if any besides the prospectors carried a premium. Thanks! Zach
There are also fake U.S. Strategic stockpile rounds as well. I picked one up at a local bazaar here in Afghanistan. It even weighs 31.1 grams, but is obviously not silver...
The ones I have are silver, & most definitely contemporary. So, if they were faked they did it to break even. When I get them shot for eBay, I'll try to post pics here too. thanks all!
I believe that was a buy it now price, but I've been watching them go for 33-35 a piece in auction format, so yeah. 20-25% premium isn't bad at all.
As a seller, youd end up with only $30.8 after fees (assuming the high price of $35). Prospectors aren't really rare. Normally, (outside ebay) they go for around the same price as an uncirculated ASE. ----- You can tell the difference between real ones and fakes because the fakes are proof like. Don't think there is uncirculated versions. And they're visibly thicker than a real one because it's made of copper.
