Good choice, the $1 dollar notes have very little value, unless you have a fancy Serial number or special block designation $5, $10 and $50 notes are the way to go !
I have seen Chicken little for $139 in 68EPQ, there are several in population but that should stll net you a few dollars The one dollar Splash Mountain in 66EPQ will definitely be a tougher sale
I know someone who has every single, or at least darn near of Disney Dollars ever printed. I've never seen it, but I hear it's a big collection..
that's just Looney .... Looney Tunes .... They're interesting to look at, but I'm considering selling them and converting the revenue to more coinage or old US paper.
Well im happy to give this thread a bump. I havent purchased any of these in over a year. I spotted these 3 in a dealers case at the Cincy show today. He wanted $30 for all 3 and would only sell as a package deal. We settled on $25, did i do ok ???? They appear to be crisp CU at minimum. As a bonus, this the 1st 1988s to go in the book, (love the reverse) and there are $5s in there but i didnt have a goofy yet either. Sorry about the glare as they were snapped in my window sill.
@mpcusa What are your thoughts?? ^^ After further research, theres a couple D-A blocks up there ^^ with good margins and the goofy seems to be on the rare side too.
Maybe you didnt get my subpoena, @mpcusa what do you think of the notes in post #132? Are these any good? I paid $25 for the lot, did i do good??
I am here Good pic ups for $25 dollars, i am finding however over time the paper doesnt hold up, basically what i mean by that is they dont stay flat almost like a curl affect, i recommend putting them in a rigid holder ASAP !! Also by looking at your notes there the $1 D/A Blocks to me look 66PPQ the $5 even though a rarer issue and desirable the margins are off by a significant amount i wouldnt think anything better then a 64PPQ on a good day possibly even a 63PPQ. In Disney you must be at 66PPQ or above which is considered average below that your just spinning your wheels, take it from someone who knows
Thank you ....I was basically thinking the exact same things, I must be learning!! Im gonna throw these in the uncut sheet book with the other ones. Which have felt between the pages. They are also in bcw brand holders so hopefully will remain flat Thx again
Anytime One of the major drawbacks of collecting these is the fact that there is no accurate Record of how many were printed in each series which makes it difficult to access The rarity of each issue, you have to kind of wing it and that means alot of $$$$ In guessing..LOL
I could be wrong, but it also seems to me that 1988 is rarer than 1987 and 1989. Just going by what I've seen.
With Disney dollars it is very difficult to access rarity of any one issue as accurate records were never kept on production, the only way to attempt to even come close is see whats being offered out there and come to your Own concluesions not very scientific and you could spend allot of $$$$ doing this in the end.
New acquisitions- Anyone care to GtG ?? Dumbo is PCGS graded, other 3 are PMG. Lets see how good you guys are! Guess! @mpcusa @Endeavor @keemao Sorry about all the reflections
