The term Mint is for coins (coins are minted) and has no place in the descriptions of paper money, which is printed at the Bureau of Engraving and Printing. The Disney Dollars are also printed, not minted.Terms for paper money are circulated, uncirculated, and Gem, to name a few.

I think he was using the word (mint) to describe a gem state note. Like a baseball card..... I was a little confused by his answer to my question, though ....

i used to collect baseball cards many moons ago and yes that,s the term we used
you will find many people still do when describing something that is new regardless
of what it is, and regardless if it is right are wrong, this term is all over the Disney
Dollar forums and on ebay, so hopefully Steve will give us permission to use it here
    LOL :)

expecting some more Disney Dollars in from the bay today, will post ASAP

Just got this one in the mail today:

In 2005 Disney released the new "T" version for release at the Disney store, additionally the A,D and T were released with a bar code and the designers
Shrunk down the obverse image of the castle.

    this note is:

2005 50 TH Anniversary $1 featuring Dumbo on the front and sleeping beauties
    Castle on the reverse

This particular note is a "D" as the first letter in the bar code suggests

I forgot to mention, I had a chance to buy all of those notes, the $10 you mention, had handling marks at the bottom of the bill, I almost paid him for that one until I noticed....I bought the $5 notes from my crappy photos off him, I love the Donald duck 2005 50th anniversary... It's like your new dumbo note minus the bar code on the back, is that a good one in mint?

yes it is in mint condition, after looking at it closer, i think i will send it in to PMG for
grading have about 15 items going in this week including some MPC, this particular
note # DIS195 at PMG has (59) total notes graded which is a substantial number
they break down like this 2-67, 24-66, 28-65, 3-64, 1-63,1-62 by my opinion
i would say a solid 66, don,t see any wild margins so it should be about in that range would hope for a 67 though that would be nice

Here are a few of the Disney notes that I have. My son worked at Disney World and we visited often and collected every time a new one came out.

The first is not a Disney Dollar, but came out in 1971 when the park opened.

The second is the $50 that they put out in 2005 for the 50th Anniversary of Disney. They had 500 of these signed by the master artist, Charles Boyer. These are the ones that are selling for $4000 plus. The unsigned ones still are selling for about $400 to 600. They could be bought at the park at face value when they first came out.

The last Disney Dollar is from the Villain series. This is an error note that they pulled when they noticed that Dalmatians was spelled wrong Dalmations.

These hooked me into picking up other theme park dollars as well.

The $50 bills are nice. Only wish I would have known sometime back and bought a bunch...lol...before Disney made their announcement. I remember the dollars were selling for pennies over face a couple years ago on Ebay. I have several Ariel bills that are at PMG. The one ending in 2250 is a matching set with one I posted earlier with the A letter. It's sometimes hard to find them on Ebay with good margins because some sellers don't take good pics of the overall bill so you can tell. And I have a few good number runs of 2, 3 and 4 consecutive numbers. When I finally get them back from PMG I will post some pics. T 00019025.jpg T 00019026.jpg

There are a ton of notes,i just down loaded the PMG set build sheet but i wish they would have detailed the pic and block details better for example there are 7 different
$1 bills in 2007 and 8 in 2013 only a couple examples there, so you have to manually mark down name and block number from there site to determine the rarity
Of the note, im working on this today !

I think my friends at PMG were having a little to much to drink when they graded this note, looks atleast one grade higher margins just a tad off in front and perfect in the back, go figure
