they range from $10-50.00+ depends on how they look and grade ? the slabbed mint state ones go for $150-300.00
That is a really nice coin posted by Valentinian. :thumb: Here is a Malawi 1964 Florin with two elephants.
Five assorted ancients (or three ancients and two medieval Indians if you prefer): For those who like ID games, the last one is lead.
I didn't look it up but I'm pretty sure that is a very rare coin. Is it your coin? :thumb: I've only seen one example before & it was at the Willimantic Connecticut coin show earlier this year.
Yes it is, this elephant is the ultimate highlight of my collection. If I had to give up my coins, this one I would keep. The 15 Rupien struck in the Tabor Railway- workshop from the gold of the Sekenke mine during WW I to me is one of the most fascinating coins ever minted. The " Tabora Pound " as it is also called in english was an emergency issue when German east Africa was cut off from the motherland. According to coindealers and auctionhouses it is scarce, but that is not true, you find at least one decent elephant on every coinaution.
Nice lookin' elephants, A-Noob => yah, I must admit that I am quite drawn towards the ol' square-pants coins!! (lookin' good, brother) :thumb:
