    Found new coin. Elagabalus

    Elagabalus Denarius. Rome, AD 220-221. IMP ANTONINVS PIVS AVG, laureate, draped bust right / ABVNDANTIA AVG, Abundantia empties the contents of a cornucopia to the ground to the left using both hands, star in left field. RSC 1.

    Cornucopiae usually contain the the results of the harvest--vegetables and grain.

    Looking back at my notes from my local ancients club, and I guess I confused it with a Liberalitas reverse with cornucopiae where she is emptying coins:

    That is neat... what is even better is that you have an ancient coin club you can attend. Very nice!
