I picked up another Priapus recently Trebonianus Gallus is one of the last emperors to display this deity and I wasn't aware he issued them-- there are no others in ACsearch and only two are cited in RPC IX. As far as I've found, only Valerian and Gallienus after him put Priapus on their coins. If any of you have seen later examples, please let me know. MYSIA, Lampsacus. Trebonianus Gallus CE 251-253; Sossios, strategos AE 23 mm, 5.3 gm Obv: ΑVΤ Κ ΟVΙΒ ΤΡ ΓΑΛΛΟϹ; laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right Rev: ΛΑΝΨΑΚΗΝ ЄΠΙ ϹΤΡ ϹΟϹϹΙΟV; ithyphallic Priapus standing left on base, holding filleted thyrsus and pouring cantharus over altar Ref: RPC IX 394. Very rare.
Jupiter is ... umm ... here more flaccid and less endowed. It didn't affect his fertility, though. Gallienus, AD 253-268. Roman billon antoninianus, 3.10 g, 20.1 mm, 6 h. Rome, AD 261.
