Eisenhower dollar question

    That isn't what these coins look like

    My ignorance again...apologies. The coind are mounted on a postmarked envelope with corresponding stamps. One for his time in the military, one for his time as President and one for Eisenhowser as a General.

    After a closer inspection of my 1971 silver clad Eisenhower proof, I noticed the R in Liberty was peg legged, the 2nd one in 1971 was missing a portion of it's base and the earth, on the reverse, has no islands off the coast of Florida. Does anyone know if these were common in the 71' proof?

    I think they use the search function to find a thread about the same coin they have, but don't look to see when the thread was active
