Would it be possible to verify if the obverse matches one of the 16 (?) plated specimens actually known ? I do not believe such a connection have been done between the 95 genuine examples and the ancient fourrées.

I checked the plated examples as well and it doesn't match any of those.

There are 6 known obverse dies for the fourres. None match any of the known official dies.

Sometimes you get what you ask for. This coin crossed my desk this morning. I've had time to examine the coin in hand and in our opinion the coin is genuine.

    The metal is properly crystalized.

The coin is struck, not cast. XFR showed the metal composition to be 98.5% AG, 0.7% AV, 0.2% CU and 0.2% FE which is consistent with the other 4 Eid Mar's I've tested.

The coin is from a new obverse die. The differences I noted before are not an artifact of the photography.
