Edward III groat

    This Groat just arrived from a seller in Canada for my classroom collection (I'll pair it with The Canterbury Tales as Chaucer served at court of Edward III).
    I'm very happy with how it looks in hand and the price I paid.

    O: Plain Cross, HENRIC' DI' GRA' REX ANGLIE Z FRANC, crowned facing bust, rosette and mascle stops.
    R: CIVI (mascle)TAS LONDON(pinecone), long cross pattée; three pellets in angles, pinecone and double saltire stops
