I picked up this note at my dealer this weekend for what i think is a pretty good price. Anyone venture to guess what i paid or what you think the value would be approx. I realize it dosn't grade very high but for the price i believe i got a good or at least fair deal.
Nice! I just received my souvenir card of the same image in the mail today. I would guess you paid about $175.
pretty close to the mark gentleman,PAID $120,the red book US paper money guide shows $340 in VG-8,not that i'm saying it would grade that high but thats the lowest grade they show a value for.
It's funny the book prices are so high and yet we all gave much more reality based market valuations and grades. Just goes to show that the collecting community overwhelmingly knows their market better than the publishers attempting to serve them/us. :smile
Great deal, I would have paid more without blinking an eye. Probably my favorite note that I don't yet hold in my collection.
says a thing or two about prices. Not too mnay years ago, i bought mine for $100... although mine might not be in as good a grade lol
My coin shop guy has one in about VG-fine range, but I just can't talk myself into getting that or the Woodchopper he has in the same condition. I think a note as beautiful as these need to be in better shape for me to really consider it. Unfortunately, my wallet doesn't like that! Your note is one I would have jumped on as well, so congrats!
Good note and great price. And for Dr Kegg I think I'd get the edu if all other things were the same.
You have caught George Washington in the only lie he ever told. He told Martha "No ONE will ever come between us".
