Edge/Rim issues on Ancients

    While I agree that coins with naturally irregular edges are interesting and fully collectable, there are enough people who buy coins that consider these damaged that they tend to sell for less unless they are strange enough that the take on an interest because of the edge. In ancients, the same can go for many other faults. Off center a little is perfectly normal but perfectly centered is still a premium. Off center 90% coins are rare and interesting to the point that they will sell for more than ones off center 10%. I once passed up an Aegina turtle stater which had the head and one flipper on the flan but not a bit of the shell. I still regret passing it up. Strange? ...and proud of it.
