He is right--no HTML needed for something like that---Photoshop will do it nicely, but it is also $$ so you might not want to go out and buy it for one project. That being said I think you can find people who do such for a living that charge around $50 for a custom logo. If you do own Photoshop I would suggest that when you go to save the file you click "Save for Web"---while I know we are getting the to day where everyone (Everyone but myself) has DSL or high speed cable internet, there is still a plus to making your files as small as they can be so the load time is fast.

    Just a little FYI....
I am pretty well versed in PhotoShop, should anyone need any help with some images.
I'll post a couple of pics for reference of my work.
Most of my work has been for signatures in forums and the like.

    hamman88 Spare some change, sir?

I went to one of his auctions and copied his code, then simplified it a bit. Slanderous? maybe....But now my auctions are awesome!

edit: If you have an objection PM me.

html is basically a learn as you go thing. It's difficult to explain, you just have to start with the most basic commands and work up to tables and borders and backgrounds etc. I'll do my best...

To put your own data in you need to:

    1. Copy and paste your photo urls in place of my sample photos. Note: the small sample photos are links. If you were to click on the sample photo you would be taken to a larger version. So, you also need to input your larger photos in place of my larger photos. Here's an example:

Note that when you click on the photo it takes you to another larger photo.

    2. If you do not have turbo lister installed on your computer, download and install in now. http://pages.ebay.com/turbo_lister/index.html. Once you have it installed start it up and create a new listing. Input the HTML code I sent to you into the proper field then click on "Description Builder". You are going to have to go back and forth between preview, design view and html view. Find the spots where you want specific text and then just find it in the html OR just type it in the the design view.

If you need any more help, just ask. Good luck. :)

I have had a lot of fun with this... I got a free demo of Photo shop and had a blast last night playing aroung with graphics... What a complicated program. All the layers that can be added and effects are just outstanding.

I'm in the process of designing my own web page and I'm just using FrontPage... It was very difficult at first but I'm starting to get the hang of it. Combine that with Photo Shop and I'm getting some pretty neat stuff for a beginner. Now I'm trying to figure out how to do drop down link bars to clean up the page appearance and make it easier to navigate... If anyone wants to critique my work or offer suggestions, I'll PM the URL...

Did you insert your picture url into the html or did you just add a photo in the "design view" in turbo lister? It sounds like your url was either put in the wrong place or it is a dead link. Here's what the html should look like for the photos:

<A href="URL FOR THE ENLARGED PHOTO GOES HERE" target=_blank><IMG title="Click to Enlarge" src="URL FOR THE SMALL PHOTO GOES HERE" border=0><BR><FONT face=Arial color=black size=1>Click on Image to Enlarge</A>

Thats what i had it like. Does it have to be saved in a certain file? Mine is in .JPG format.

Are you linking it to your hard drive? That may be your problem. You need to upload the pictures to a server. Create an account at www.photobucket.com. Then upload your images there and get the urls of the images and put them in the proper place in the html code.

Ouch---a web designers fear....finding a site designed in Front Page. Do yourself a favor and either learn how to do it in Raw HTML or find a nice CMS that will work. Front Page does nothing but add alot of junk into the coding. Also it isn't safe for the server---Front Page opens your server up to viruses....and isn't good for sites with shoping carts and such.
