Thanks robec. I do feel bad for Larry but no sympathy for PCGS. I know some have said Larry is owed nada by PCGS but I think he is. Were I Larry I would just keep it buried and let PCGS swing and twist in the wind Edited:. Larry has as great a numismatic conversation piece as you can get.
Hey Larry -- keep that coin! It is a real treasure. All made possible by the number one grading service pcgs.
Larry, I have interest in this thread, so I follow it. I did not see any one individual one sided on another. Both you and endeavor were throwing it out, so no foul , until you violated specific language rules. I doubt you would get many of them to say I had never got them also, or they were my buddy. So you now start on me huh?? I had nothing to do with your coin, PCGS, or anything else except your language. You were not reported. Someone else was, and I rejected that one. I don't participate in fame and fortune trophy lists, but if that's you , good luck. Jim

Well my wife said to tell you guys bye bye it's time to put the car in the garage LOL....!!!!!!
I have looked up the 1942/41 Mercury and it says "grade: DELETED". It seems there's always something fishy with high value cherry picks... or was the coin resubmitted?
I learned the Hard Way everybody Hates a "Cherry Picker" so for you guys that have the "Eagle Eye" that is a Blessing from God use it to build your Fortune not to Breath Life back into the Numismatic World they will reject you and your goods as if you are a Poison of some nature...Anyway,about to go show off to a few of my coin buddies this 1926 S, LOL Atleast they appreciate knowing a Genius..LP...!!!!
Total hogwash. No one hates a cherry picker, but if you want to feel like a poor, picked on victim be my guest. Where were you when many of the same posters who contributed to this thread helped another cherry picker identify his coin as being an authentic Proof 1909 VDB? https://www.cointalk.com/threads/1909-vdb-matte-proof.286197/ We posted the same diagnostic information in that thread as in this one. The only difference is his coin had the markers, yours didn't. No one was or is picking on anyone, only the authentication of the coin.
was looking at 09 vdb lincoln cents on flea bay and came across this in a pcgs ms67+ holder -- unreal...... This is at $2900 with make an offer I can see a collector building a matte proof set from 09 without vdb to 1915 and then round out his mini set by getting an o9vdb like this and a monster 1916 business strike. Maybe that would be the set he could afford. This coin, to me, has all the pizazz of a matte proof. What say you??
