I have a feeling sniping is for people who bid on half of the coins on ebay with the purpose of getting a low price to resale...its for people who are just trying to eek a few bucks off of coins.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>To me it just seems like a lazy thing to do...but if you are trying to buy up every coin on e-bay to resale....it might be worth it.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>The only reason I dont like it is they are just a rip-off for a plain collector like myself and I assume the way these stupid services do it is faster than the way I can do it myself but I win auctions all the time without it...so I lose a coin here or there because some person uses a program to slip a higher bid in 2 seconds before the end and maybe I would have been willing to go a bit higher for it in the end...my fault I know and that might have happened by someone who did it manually as well...It takes a grand total of about 5-7 seconds for me to put a bid in...so I guess you pay these guys to cut off a few seconds? I will save my money and keep my info safe and pass...</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Whether it is manual or auto I just cant stand these profiteers that out bid me in an auction and then you see the same damn coin relisted with a minimum higher than he bought it for...but what are you going to do...if a human can find a way to make an extra buck off your hobby he will.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>I might bid on 10 things at a time and I am almost always around (or my wife) to be there as it ends...I ALWAYS put my bid in right when I see what I want, I dont lurk until the last minute...I love these bidders who think they are tricky <img src="styles/default/xenforo/clear.png" class="mceSmilieSprite mceSmilie1" alt=":)" unselectable="on" unselectable="on" /> and then as it gets to be a few minutes to seconds you can see the sneaky snipers bumping....so I try to make a definite choice as to my max, enter it and let it go (if I am around)...so I just dont see the need for it...its not like it ruins anything for me because I am almost ALSWAYS there when a bid I care about ends...and that might be the difference...caring about what you are buying and not just blanket purchasing things to resale.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>I assume with a snipe service you give them a max? and then its out of your hands?
