My question to eBay is this: Can a seller offer an item - then claim they lost it - and just refund the money with no other consequence? What is eBay's policy on items "lost" while being auctioned? Does the seller have an obligation to notify eBay and ask that the auction be voided - or is the remedy just a simple refund?
