It is not beating a dead horse when several members STILL think that the seller did nothing wrong!

Lehigh, it is getting close to what is described as cyberbullying, pounding at people, because they think differently, when it does not agree with one's opinion. Right or wrong, ethical or non-ethical, a person can state their opinion without 8 repetitive pages. No side can just keep it up , one way or another, until all others capitulate.

I more of a bystander in this thread, but it seems that we are viewing this thread through an entirely different lens. IMO, Vic is the target of cyberbullying, not the bully.

Here is how I see it. Some people posting here didn't take the time to look through the initial email back and forth between the seller and myself. They read my first email which is rather angry and skipped the rest. I sound really bad if all you read is this angry threatening message. It makes a lot more sense if you read more about what happened.

I really think the responses would have been significantly different had I made a new account and just threw this out as post #1.

People would likely have been more willing to read first and comment second. I didn't really see any "Vic critical" comments from anyone who said they read the whole thing first then commented.

I guess you're right. It's common courtesy to treat someone who is a little dim with special anti-static kid gloves.

Are you saying we shouldn't judge sellers on ebay after clearly requesting written clarification in an unclear matter and getting a misleading response, then having the item mailed?

Are you saying you judge sellers without any written communication, each and every one of them, just while you're considering buying from them?

I call BS and contradiction in your posts.

No, It isn't just Doug's view, you will find it is the view of the owner down to most of the members.

Thanks for the private warning. Coming from you, means nothing. Go ahead, ban or limit my CT access. That is the only response you know, that and lying after deleting innocent posts on CT. You represent zero integrity and are not a quality moderator. Hate to speculate on the overall quality as a human being, so I will refrain.

Not at all. Sellers are hesitant to simply cancel auctions that have gone to completion and whose to say that Vic would not have liked the coin the seller sent which was, by specification, an MS64RB coin? Obviously the seller has photography problems with coins and I think was using the next best thing.

Besides, the judgment call had little to do with vetting the seller as much as it has to do with automatically thinking he's a liar or fraud. Its not that difficult.

Not at all. What I am saying is that if a seller has 5 coins up in 5 separate listings but which all have the same photograph, then I am not going to buy or bid as I have no idea on what I will receive. Its not that difficult.

I'm getting too many complaints about this thread, so I'm closing it up till we can sort out what the problem is.
