Good evening everyone,

So after hearing many recent Ebay success stories i was looking for unsearched wheat pennies on ebay earlier and stumbled accross a shotgun wrapped roll with a 1914 D and 1909 S on either end and just had to roll the dice. It could be a VDB right? :thumb:

If you read the auction this roll was a part of an estate sale several years ago and was labeled as "save" - obviously for the end coins but I am hoping there are some hidden treasures in there! As long as the coins are not fake I think I did OK as in G4 condition the 1909S lists at $115 in an old coin prices magazine I have and the 1914D lists for $220 and I think both coins are at least that and more but won't know for sure until they are cracked open.

The coins look to be in pretty good condition and the 09s appears to be a "woody". What do you all think of the grades at first glance? Would you have bought it? It appears to be an untampered shotgun roll, would you hold it or open it?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180440715276&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT
