I wouldn't suggest buying "unsearched" wheat pennies... Especially on eBay. However there are times where whoever had searched the coins before you missed something. That being said the chances are very, very slim that what you find would be worth the money you paid.
I would bet they are unsearched by the seller. They just go to their bank and buy cents at face value and sell them. Preciously little valuable stuff in coins directly from the bank. Why waste time searching when you can make a profit like THAT just shipping them?
I thought the US never made the Wheat penny until 1909 , he must have some really rare pennies in those bags . another eBay special !!
When I first started collecting coins I saw a listing for small old piggy banks that the listing said had coins in then, I spent like close to $50 because it was like 10 of those piggy banks with bank logo's so I was thinking there got to be silver in there. cracked them all open and nothing but 2014 cent's in them lol. spent $50 for $3 worth of cent's - lol. Since then I never will trust another "mystery/non searched/blahblah" listing again.
Yes, Unicorns are as real as wheaties from 1859. If anyone has Lincoln pennies from 1859, please contact me right away, because they are SOLD
@Cheech9712 To be fair I was new at the time and did zero research and had zero common "cents -heh" at the time, but I have more then made up for that mistake, I have gotten really good deals from other ebay sellers - there are so many time I bought silver close to half off spot price or buying a coin for half what they usually sell for.
Let me get my mini chisels and hammer out and I’ll make as many as you want. Minimum order is 100 and there $100 dollars apiece. Put your order in quick, only 50% deposit is required. USPS money orders only and the address to send to is in Zimbabwe! Those would be a mint error 1959 Lincoln cent not a cent from 1859. Duh!
