They order lots and lots of proofs, break them apart and sell each coin separately. </p><p>For a 0.01 Cent from the bank in a 2x2 they charge $1. Nickels are $2. Dimes are $3 or even $4. etc., etc. </p><p>Talk about profit. </p><p>Each proof is Red Book priced but if you know them you can get for a little cheaper. They still make a fortune on each proof set. Occationally they also sell rolls of uncir coins right from the bank and also at a fantastic profit. Not sure if they ever tried ebay but why should they. Coin shows almost every weekend around here. Maybe they do use ebay.
