I buy lots every now and then, mainly world coins and I have to say it is fun sorting them LOL but the chances of you finding a fortune are slim LOL I will also say that I have found some nice bits :smile You pays your money and takes your chances.

I've bought a few lots from him...they're kind of small sometimes, but some of the coins ar MS....and you usually get a proof or two...I would say he probably has the best lots on Ebay...

CoinVic not sure what you meant 'he ais they were U.S' as I was commenting on the general nature of mixed lots be they world or single country lots you are still taking a chance. As for buying 3 lots to guarente a Morgan why not just buy a Morgan if that is what you are after, you have no idea what condition his would be in.

    CoinVic,

I have bought SIMILAR items like this one on E-Bay. I did not buy from this particular seller though. I believe that if you go into this with the idea that buy a "lot" of this seller's coins, you may not get ANYTHING
of value, then you are doing OK. Most of the time I do it for fun. I have gotten "lots" from the guy who owned that casino out in Las Vegas.....can't think of his name right off the bat.....he buried his coins out in the deaert, then his "girl friend" and her new boy friend killed him and tried to steal the coins. I hope you know what I'm talking about. Anyways.....it was all for fun. Looking through the coins to see if there is something valueable. Maybe you'll get something, maybe not.....probably not. Just have fun looking through the coins.

    CoinVic,

So sorry if I didn't explain things the right way before. I've had 3 brain tumors, and sometimes I get confused or have some memory loss.

I have bought "lots" from a place called pennies.com They have some pretty good stuff. Just take a chance and have some FUN!!! That's what it's all about anyways.......right?

    CoinVic,

The name of that guy was Binion. I think his first name was Ted. His father owned a casino in Las Vegas called "Binion's Horseshoe Casino", or something like that. Anyways, I bought 2 of the Binion "Hoard" coin "thing". It was sealed up and had a playing card from the casino. I didn't open those up, but I did buy 2 other items that contained a lot of different coins. Like I said before, it was just a LOT of fun looking through the coins to see if there was anything valueable. I did get 3 1909 VDB pennies. Hope this helped you. I will post again when or IF I remember anything else......OK? LOL You have what's left of my brain working overtime! LOL

I think the best deal on ebay is the NNC slabed coins. NNC has such a bad reputation you can buy them for less than unslabbed coins. Send them off for a cross-grade and take you chances. If you're gonna take a chance on an unslabbed coin, then why not take a chance on a cross-grade ?
