The bags of bulk coins are good for knocking a zombie over the head with.

My favorite line on eBay is, "Unsearched bag of coins! Gold? Silver?"

    146. 3.11 g per copper cent, 454 g per pound. And USPS flat-rate box shipping starts at more than $5. If you're looking for a one-pound lot of cents from eBay for $3.50, you'll likely have a long wait.

As suggested earlier, just buy rolls at the bank or grocery stores. I've had very good luck with them and I'm only paying face value. Buying from an auction site, you're falling for the sales pitch.

moneyer12 i just love UK coins.......

i love rooting through junk boxes and such, it is all part of the fun of being a collector, being able to pick up something you don't have in your collection for a minimal price.

I think its even more fun to root through cheap bins at a coin show. At the NYINC there was one dealer who dumped a bunch of silver coins into the cheap bins. There not expensive coins but they were old.
