You get to take advantage of his knowledge, his years of experience, his ability to grade coins, and best of all his ability to find you coins that he knows you will like, at a fair price. It doesn't get much better than that !</p><p><br /></p><p>And by all means, never, ever, discount going to coin shows. Go to as many as you can, as often as you can. You will learn a ton just from being there. In many cases, your dealer or dealers will be there. You can look at coins, discuss coins face to face, and hopefully learn something.</p><p><br /></p><p>You want a nice collection ? A collection that makes you happy, one you can be proud of ? THIS is how you do it ! And you can do without all of the risks, all of the unknowns, and all of the effort that you have to put into ebay.</p><p><br /></p><p>And last but not least, your dealer and/or dealers are most likely also selling on ebay. So you can buy them that way too. But you'll probably get a better price if you buy from them directly. Think about it, your dealer gets to save 15% plus listing fees, right off the top.
