    After reading some more today, I think I'm going to start by going for all five head varieties of 1839.

    I would have to agree.
    Slabs are all ways the way I educate myself,
    Books can only go so far.
    That coin in hand,
    And, why they graded it that way!
    Usually, exited you got the next buy!

    Personally, the thought of finding these coins wild!
    I would rather buy an authenticated example.

    I didn't miss it, I just didn't bid on it. I also saw it in it's previous sale when it turned up in an auction in England being sold unattributed and estimated at I believe 200 pounds. Unfortunately several others people with MUCH deeper pockets also recognized it for what it was. Instead of a couple hundred pounds it went for five figures.
