    Cool piece from Byzantine Italy vlaha! This era was the time of the Roman Empire's return to Italy, and to the Italian people living then, your coin was a reminder of that .

    I have one similar, of Justinian I, also from Byzantine Ravenna. Struck in the second to last year of his reign (564 AD):

    Also, I think you meant 582 AD, not 472 AD ;) . Or it could even be from any of the previous years of Tiberius II's reign, which started in 574 AD (there's no regnal year on this type to indicate when exactly).

    Hmm...I really don't know what year it's from, I got the attribution with the coin.
    The guy who gave it to me is very knowledgeable Byzantine wise, unfortunately his hand writing stinks:oops:.

    At least its narrowed down to a bit less than a decade, as opposed to 30 years or some other long time frame.
