I have been using Eagle Coin Holders for about 24 years and in my experience they are one of the best holders even compared to slabs that I have ever used. I have copper coins that have not changed color in all this time and silver coins that still look nice and white. The other advantage they have over many holders is they have a tight fit when used properly and protect the coin with nice thick inert mylar sheets that really grab the coin and keep it in place. Adding varied thickness sheets accomplishes this and to keep the holder from poppin open after assembly, I use a very thin film of clear nail polish in the grooves and lands of the frame. This helps hold the holder together, but still allows the holder to be easily disassembled if need. I also like using my laser printer to make custom clear labels on the white framed holders and cut them to size. This gives the holder a very professional look and folks at coin shows always ask me how I did that and where do I get these holders? The downside is they are a bit expensive for cheaper coins, but even for my very expensive coins in the $150-$3500 range, they are excellent protection. I do keep all of them in Intercept Shield boxes for added protection with a dessicant pack in each box. Yes, they do take a little more time to assemble and I always use canned air to make sure no dust is on the mylar when assembling them with coins. I really like them and don't know why more collectors don't use them? BTW: I don't work for Eagle or have a stake in their company...I just really like their holders!
