Jody-- On occasion I get a little silly with my descriptions. I'm glad there are people "out there" who appreciate what I'm trying to do, which is to have fun mostly with the hobby I love. Sometimes it seems like a radical idea. I'll try to continue to gear my auctions to your kind of taste in coins--I do appreciate the kind words. --andy
Hey Ya'll I told y'all about that 1912 nickel that I got off e-bay last week. Well it came today...it was a D!! Speedy
I gave in to temptation... http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=3934423531 http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=3934427814 The second coin looks to have some carbon spots. I'm kind of regretting that one. Opinions?
Looks more like toning to me, the areas you speak of, really don't look like carbon spots that I've seen on many coins. The guy has an excellent feedback score, don't see why he would screw it up with something like that.
I have loved every coin Ive gotten off ebay so far. I was only shafted on one Item that ****ed me off. I paid $40 for a very fine Warren Vampirella #2 and when it arrived, it was barely a good mag with a split spine. I got a 1999-w $50 platinum eagle graded ms-69 for $10 over spot, I was really happy with that deal
