I know this is the case at a growing number of banks but it's not yet an absolute. I've been fortunate to have a bank that will order 1K in halves for me every week and lets me dump 4K at the same time. I'm a minor account holder but they've been working with me for years. Hope you don't give 'em any ideas!

Sorry, I'm too paranoid to give my location. But just seek out the credit unions in your area.

My credit union has always been spot on with the count. I have never been shorted in the four years I have been using them for my dumps.

Lol I hope your good luck continues with them. There's certainly never an absolute and will always be exceptions. It's definitely trending that the days where that will be allowed are limited at most places.

I got shorted a couple times when mine still had it. It wasn't that uncommon. If you just dumped it all in like they always said too it seemed to be more likely to be off. Was still the best way to get rid of a change pileup though

I know the difference between a bank and a Credit Union but what make the credit unions Better for dumping coins

most grocery stores and walmart have something similar to coin star. check fees before you start dumping. Some charge nothing but you must spend all the money there. Others charge a fee and give you cash. I've always thought that if they tried to charge me a hefty fee for not spending the money there I would just buy a prepaid debit card to dump the funds into.
