Funny how the 2 Neg. detectives had nothing to cry about regarding the 1942/1 Mercury $30K SCORE, when that poster knew the eBay seller had no idea what they were selling, from grampies collection. Should that CT member or would THEY or any treasure hunter have PM'd the seller to tell them of their mistake? How about when other members go picking in the scrap box at any LCS or coin show. Would Anyone have told the dealer that they placed a 1972 DD 4-0-1 in the box? NOT!!! Back in 1980, sophomore year, I sold my Jefferson Davis Confed stamp to a Boston Dealer so I could have spending doe for New Years Eve. In the $50 2 $20s and a $10, he gave me, out of the register draw a $20 with 2 upside down plate die strikes. Should I have walked back to him and given it back for a spendable bill??? Better yet, I spent the $30 and went back to him a year later where he gave me $200 for the note. Then I told him he had handed it to me as payment that last year. I'm sure the 2 Neg. Detectives would have just coughed up their windfalls, instead, like god fearing collectors. LOL Wish I'd have kept it, now. COL
