I know there is no market for minor coins of Costa Rica coins, but I found this Doubled Die interesting on my 1947 10 Centimos. The TIM and S in CENTIMOS are the most obvious, but there are traces elsewhere, including the 0 in 10 and some of the letters in CENTRAL.
Most folks do not look for doubled die coins in foreign coins. I have found many from South America and most of them are from Columbia. They are always a fun find but I have not really seen any market for them. At least not the more common values.
There's some pretty spectacular Doubled Dies from China, mostly on their 10 and 20 Cash copper coins.
This isn't spectacular, but it is the best one I've ever found from any country, or rather, the only one unless some that I've considered mechanical doubling are really doubled dies. As for value, I figure it probably raises it from the $.08 I paid for it to at least $.09! When coins of Costa Rica become the hot item, I'll have it made!
Shoot! Id buy that for a dollar heck id give $2. Lol!! Cool coin @Neal. Nice catch, great eye!!! Happy hunting
