its the same for both sides seems equeal when upside down just made for that side. is there a version of this does anyone know about? i only see the type for proof and circulation strikes. it seems to be the proof strike that is on the left wing of eagle equel but intended for the right wing of eagle

Put your camera/phone sticking off the edge of a soda can standing up. Put the coin on the table at the base of the can. Take a clear photo. Crop the photo so there isn't too much space around the image...and post it :shame: Post a photo of both sides please.

You don't have to make it complicated. You can also just put the coin against something like a book and set the edge of your phone on the table to stabilize it

Hey not bad! Very close on the sharpness, I think you just need the focus to be a little more on for even more sharpness...maybe back up your phone/camera by an inch and try...but I think those are sharp enough...

There maybe might possibly be a tiny bit of true doubling there but we need extra sharp images to tell for sure.

What you might be seeing is just a slight bit of 'machine doubling' or just a touch of the surface stretched around the impact of the die. Machine doubling does not add any premium value to coins, it's very common. It's basically caused by a little jiggle as the die strikes the coin.

it is not flat or bland nothing is on this coin it is a good strike i think.

what makes a strike look like its caved in rather then raised with a loop?

I must repeat.. Because you probably don't understand yet..

Proofs are specially struck twice so you most likely have strike doubling. IMHO

which one is that? seems to perfect for strike doubling. wouldnt it more than likely be off a little bit or out of place more. something that dont fit. this seems to be almost anatomical better than most tattoos lol

seems like the coin is good just looks differant a differant type of strike what causes the lettering on the coins to look raised this is in regards to another coin

so i was checking and i found something similar it is the 1964 washington quarter the date is like this what is it called what causes it ?

The simple answer as @paddyman98 mentioned is that proofs are struck with more attention to the polishing and detailing on the dies and then struck under higher pressure and often more than once...resulting in sharper deeper details (devices) and with smoother fields (the mirror like areas).

so you think it looks like that by accident. what kind of class doubling is it? what does it get classified as or category? i am swaying more towards a wrong design myself as its not what it is suppose to be and not the circalation design for those years so may be it got mixded in. a lot of changes were done around that time. cause the one close to body does not belong and wrong direction also

what about the strikes that were done on a differant coin that look in rather than raised what category is that
