Hello everybody! This is my doubled die coin of one cent. Well... Although doubts remain about this issue I decided to start posting some pictures. With only 17,0 mm of diameter, the standard one cent coin is considered scarce here in Brazil.
Particularly in 2000 were introduced only 88.256.000 of one cent coins into circulation. These coins are often forgotten because of the low intrinsic and face values. Besides, many of them are lost at home or on the streets, they are too small...
I think that in this specific case my coin can be considered like rare.

More information about this coin: Copper-plated steel, second family(Real)

WoW! Damn! I was just sitting here wondering what the quality control level is down at the Brazilian Mint? Can these things be found in the streets or in fountains? Hopefully not, hopefully it's rare! If you believe it's rare, submit it for grading. @paddyman98 check this out!

I must admit that a certain profane word left my mouth the moment I viewed your photos, and is something that very rarely happens these days. I admit non-US coins are not an area I'm highly familiar with, and I know next to nothing about the coin in question, but what a fantastic example it is. Wow!

Thank you most kindly for sharing, sir.

Hi, good question...there is not enough videos and estimates out there about the errors in Brazilian coins like this, but I believe in the future potential. Thank you!

Cool coin! I found one in my grandfather's junk coin bin from places he's traveled. Of course, this one is a different denomination. Unfortunately, I forgot to snag a photo of the reverse after I pointed it out to him.

Yes, it is difficult to identify a coin like this, in a place like Brazil where the massive
numismatic is only at beginning. Thank you for the message.

Haha, actually he's my in law. However, it turns out my late mother (long story, not for this time or place) was a coin collector and I didn't know it until a couple of years ago.
